I’m trying to diagnose a fault with my trusty Butters Mig. It’s badged as a Butters AMT MIG175 and must be 20+ years old now. I think the same machine was also sold as an SWP badged machine(?)
the fault has manifest between uses, going from working completely normally to now powering up, but nothing happening when the torch trigger is pressed - no gas solenoid click, no wire feed, no spark on the mig wire - nothing.
I have checked the torch trigger, and that seems to be working ok. I have visually inspected the wiring and all looks good. The fuse on the PCB seems to have some but very low resistance, and the PCB itself does not have any obviously burned components or lifted tracks.
so I am looking at trying to find a circuit diagram to help in diagnosis, or just sending the PCB off for repair.
any assistance greatly appreciated
thanks
Mark
