Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and also new to mig welding. I have done a small amount with an old arc welder many years ago. Anyway I've decided to invest in a small'ish mig welder ,I've brought myself a fourtrak that needs a small amount of patching up on the inner and outer arches. The welder will mainly be for hobby use nothing to serious and maybe only used once a month at most once I've finished the trak. I've got a budget for the welder (£400). A mate of mine can get me wire, gauntlets , an auto dark mask for next to nothing so all the budget can go on welder .I've been looking around on the forum and everyone seems to like Clarke as a budget choice and the 160tm seems a good choice.I've also seen a sealey supermig 180 with a spot timer and euro torch. For an extra 50 odd quid.is it worth it or shall I stay with Clarke. Any advise or recommendations welcome.
