Im a complete novice whos prepping a car for paint. Its my first time painting a car. The car is in halfords canned acrylic primer and I was planning on using cellulose for the top coat as I have heard its forgiving for novices and Im not going to need an air fed mask to spray etc..
As I have gathered you cant spray celly over acrylic and have been told a product called barcoat can be used as an intermediate layer. What brand should I go for if this is the best option?
Or can I use any high build primer to act as an intermediate layer?
Or should I just spray an acrylic top coat? Can you get peugeot colours in acrylic by by paint codes the same as you can with celly? If so how does it compare to celly for wet sanding/polishing afterwards?
Sorry for all the questions in one post but Im just trying to find out what my options are.
Thanks
