hello my first post :some years ago I purchased from the well known auction site a cd stud welder , old American ,heavy as lead and works like a treat. the problem is the cables to the gun and earth are 7 or 8 meters long and get in the way.in my shop 2 meters would be fine so to the question.
can I cut them or does the welder need some resistance in the leads to protect the thyristor and capacitors
if you don't know it would still be usefull to know what yours are.
kind regards john
