Hi all,
I´m new here and I joint the forum since I found a lot of expertise with respect to bugs of older welders.
I just bought a Castotig 2002 ACDC in an auction. But now I found out, that it doesnt provide welding current. HF seems to work, indications work but the tension is 0V. Only in the MMA mode, the indications shows somthing around 11V.
LEDs on the power board NMW20 shine, apart from one that is not described in the manual, that is close to this red "VAC" box, whatever that is.
I checked the three big resistors, but they seem ok (say +- 10%).
On the lhs board, the BPS20, the leds shine, but when I put load on the welder outputs, one of the two upper right leds goes off and all the others shine brighter.
As I'm more a mechanic, not really familar with all the strange small animals there on the boards I really need help.
Can anybody give me tips, who I could ask to make a welder out of my pig in a poke ?
Cheers
Jörg
