Hi has anyone used an Arcair cutter, Arcair no longer exists I think, is just a name, pity as the K2000 torch seemed just right. I have been looking at Chinese copies on Ebay. & also ESAB etc cutting carbons. It seems using DC electrode positive, 60 to 140 amps will cut & gouge, remove old weld for modifications. AC needs much more power, as does AC rod on DC
The little copy torches come with no wire or hose. All this came about when I had to cut up an old oil tank with my trusty 9'' angle grinder. Used a few discs, this led me to look into carbon arc cutting. i only have an occasional need for cutting - hence a plasma or oxy propane set would be costly. I have seen an oxy gasoline (petrol) set up offered???
