cracked on with mounting the R1 rear caliper. bit more head scratching with this one as it needed to be adjustable fore and aft to allow for the chain tension. need to make up a nice chunky tie rod for the rose joints but that should work a treat.
I too wondered about that rear caliper mounting. When the brake is applied there is a twisting force (because the mounting bolts are offset from the disc) and this will be fed entirely through the upper mounting bolt and welded bracket. The rose jointed arm will not add any strength in this direction. Just my thoughts...
found a nice chunky bit of 304 lying around, so Mk2 ready for fitting this weekend............
Is the other end of the torque arm going on the swinging arm up near the pivot?
