Looking to buy a mig plant for restoring my camper, whats best gas or gasless ,had a look on the net and clarke 150,160 which is the better!!!!any recommendations on where to buy?.dont want to shell out on something thats crap!!!.cheers and hello to everyone murf.
Gasless is difficult for thin stuff, OK for a "genuine" chassis. For Clarke, PM Weldequip, he's a Clarke reseller and can beat most (all?) prices. Also a consistent source of good avice, spares, etc.
had a snapon rig stolen about three weeks ago so had to shoot out and buy a clarke 160en, weld every day (auto welding, thin sheet or chassis - nothing big) not as quick as the snapon was but £500 cheaper - and worth every penny, very happy!!! it will earn me my money to but a portamig, but there will always be a clarke in the workshop from now on
