i would quite like to repair some farm gates on my shooting land. Land owner doesnt give a toss as he very rarely uses them, but I use them very regularly, even if it's just climbing over them.
The problem is the hinges have broken off and the gates are tied up with bailing wire...not ideal and makes them difficult to get over as they flop about.
I can't weld there as I dont have a capable genny to run the stick welder so was wondering if a mapp torch and some brazing rods would do it?
Once they are fixed there will be no need to climb them as they will swing open so it's only got to hold the weight of the gates themselves
