Hey people!
I'm hoping you guys will be able to shed some light on an issue I'm having as my knowledge of welding and the associated subjects thereof is rather meager. Basically, I recently purchased a bed from ebay (Click here to have a look) and after just 14 days of use the support leg in the middle of the bed has broken causing bending of the frame in all sorts of hideous ways! I contacted the seller as they offer a 1 year manufacturers warranty *cough* and sent them images of the bed and the damage. They have kindly informed me that its not the fault of the manufacturer and that I have 'accidentally damaged' it, and it has been 'moved incorrectly' <<<<<<< is all i can say!
Now from the research I have done it looks to me as if the surfaces were incorrectly prepared (or not prepared at all) because from what I understand there is major oxidation beneath where the braze joints have been which is now visible on the joints themselves. I'm going to confront the seller with this but I just want to make sure that I'm not talking rubbish! I have put the picture on the bottom of this post but the forum limits the size and quality so the original can be downloaded from this link >>Here<< for a closer inspection.
I would appreciate your opinions and thank you in advance for any information you are able to provide, if you need any more info or pics please don't hesitate to ask! Thanks again guys!
