Hello,
I Have a kit to convert the rear of my car to discs, the bracket it came with is a simple flat piece of Galvanized mild steel, 10mm thick, 4 holes drilled in the center to bolt the rear end and to outer holes for the caliper its elf to bolt to.
The car itself is sub 900Kg and not especially powerful.
The question us, would i be safe to use some 6082 Aluminum to replicate the piece or would i be better of with 7075 ? I'm not sure but i think the real caliper could be made out of some sort of Aluminum anyway, its not especially heavy like Cast Iron.
