Hi,
If I didn't have other jobs to do I could crack on with TIG practicing. Today has been dry but very windy and warmer although the breeze up the mountain gave a chill factor. Not many days like this here in January so I got off my backside and up the mountain I went. I've had two sessions and knocked off just as it's getting dark. Last year I created a wildflower meadow at the top of the mountain and it was absolutely breathtaking in its beauty. Now with spent flowers I wondered how brest to deal with it so today I've cleared the lot and managed to bag up the debris.
Definitely not welding but yet another job to sidetrack me.
Kind regards, Colin.
my method of bag filling saving no end of frustration and torn bags. Old big bucket with handle and bottom removed used as a funnel. It works a treat.
The wildflowers this morning.
The bulk of the spent wildflowers removed using a rake.
Going over with the petrol mower sure improved the look of it.
Big pile of spent wildflowers which are now bagged ready for disposal.
Bucket in use.
The new wildflower meadow I created last year in all its glory.
Close up; and I hope to recreate it again this year.
Rotavating last year; now its ready to be rotavated again before seed sowing. Seeds bought at "Meadow Mania".
I find it difficult to settle in the workshop knowing there are always more pressing jobs to do but I still manage to do some TIG practice; if tomorrow is at all favourable I'll rotavate but if not I'll have a good excuse to get into the workshop.
