I’ve been having reactions over old basecoat/clear coat. I’ve tried dusting the new base on steady, spray can epoxy and now 2K epoxy. Most of the reactions have been blocked out now.
Still a couple left. I’m thinking of using some bar coat over the corner in the photo. Some people say it’s no good and can crack down the road. A friend at work suggested using a blocker.
He said he had reaction problems when he sprayed basecoat over old paint. The paint company told him to use a blocker or whatever it’s called. It worked well. No reactions whatsoever. I’ve tried messaging the guy and he’s not replying so I can’t find out much more about it.
Anyone used anything like this? I’ll probably use barcoat over that corner for now or dust epoxy over it very lightly.
