Just thought I'd post some pictures of a fabrication job I've got involved in. A chap from down the road has bought massive old tank he wants to convert into an American style smoker to take to festivals/events. I'm a self taught stick welder using 6013 rods 99.9% of the time. He's directing the project & I'm following the instructions whilst chucking in the odd bit of advice. I'll top this thread up with more pics if people are interested.
Because it's such a big mother a lot of the work is getting done at his gaff cos we can't move it to mine, but the bits that we can do at mine make life a bit easier.
Doing some welding on the fireboxes outside my workshop (to reduce fume inhilation from the old paint).
