Hello all.
I'm about to get my first welder for home / hobbyist as I want to get profficient enough to eventually work on bicycle and motorcycle frames / parts and basic auto repairs.
I've done a 6-week course and learnt the basics of welding theory, prep and technique etc - now just need to practice and for that need a welder for home.
Considerations:
Must be able to do Aluminium / Titanium.
Nothing more hardcore than 3mm.
Probably need to factor in Inert Gas supply with this budget.
What kind of power line will I need to have installed in the 'shed'
Have seen a few machines that forego tonnes of manual control and just select the right setting for the material and thickness with 1 button - are these too amateur? I'd like something that will keep up with me as my ability grows.
Many thanks!
