Hi Guys,
Just joined your forum to gain some knowledge on bending tube.
I'm aiming to bend 50mm round mild steel tubing, without distortion / creases. the bends needs to be 180*, in the middle of a 3.0mt length.
Wall thickness can be what it needs to be to prevent it collapsing.
The first bend I want to achieve needs to be as tight as the material will take, I guess at 300mm id of the legs, if possible.
The next bend I require will run on the outside of the first bend, then one outside of that.
Then I will want the next five or six bends to be between the inside and outside of the one before, i.e. the centre of the one before is the inside radius of the next one..
Phew...! If you are still reading then I have to thanks you now..
Questions I have are..
What type of bending machine could achieve these bends.
If it is one that uses mandrels / formers would I need one for each bend...
Would anyone know of a company who could do this..?
Cheers,
db.
