I have a small Snap-on torque multiplier 1/2" drive to 3/4" out. 4 to 1 reduction, something similar could be easily used for this application,
No I don't have to matchSo, I guess you will always have to match the twists in the bought in bars, just in case you have to mix and match, so how many full trwists are in the 800mm section of a 1 metre bar, have you no hydraulics lying around?

If an air operated one by Norbar could be found second hand etc, It would be really perfect, No effort required whatsoever.
Norbar do models up to 220,000 lbs/ft
P.S. There are quite a few new manual multipliers at very reasonable prices on Ebay typically used for car/wagon wheel nuts etc,
What on earth do you use 2 or 3 thousand pieces of twisted bar for. LolOh it's straight enough I built that into the design
It just seemed a lot to twist 16 mm square over 800 of twist. Still I will put some cheater pipe over the handles and try cold
Been buying in but use so many if I can save as little as a quid a bar it could be a few grand a year
Doing cold will obviously make it cheaper still and I won't need that gym membership after a days twisting lol
Someone posted the perfect machine for you recently. Then asked who would be the first to make one.Been looking at these torque multiplier things on the u tube. Just the job if I can get one cheap enough and also adapt the final drive to suit various larger bar sizes for twisting
Looking at costs it has possibilities of getting a bit too rich for the task though
Just priced upTorque Multiplier on ebay and wow they are not cheap. I think I would be Tryng starter motor and flywheel approach if it were me.Hello Kent. Just photographed my torque multiplier for you, The large hexagon on the body needs to be held stationary and the input is 1/2" square drive and the output is 3/4" square drive, It works very well and as said increaces the torque by X4
I also used to use air operated torque multipliers called Pneutorque machines, Made by Norbar.
Fantastic pieces of kit, All different sizes and did not take a lot of air, only around 55PSI. one of those would be ideal for your bar twisting.

What do you mean?Someone posted the perfect machine for you recently. Then asked who would be the first to make one.
It was expensive but the idea could be used to make a basic version. If only I could find it........lol. where is @Maker when you need him.
