This one works with the stubby kit I've got, leaves 15mm sticking out with a unground tungsten.

I got a long back cap in the kit supplied with my WP 20 that handles the 175 mm tunstens using a gas lens. It's just the constant noise the cooler makes that drives me nuts after a while! At least the welder is fan on demand and sits silent when you are marking out and fitting up.I use the intermediate caps on the WP20, allows me to chop a tungsten in half and it fits fine but not sure if they are 175mm long tungstens.
But then your lengthening the front end again matt which kinda defeats the "stubby" point.Have you got a mate with a lathe? Wouldn't take much effort to turn a small spacer out of Delrin or similar.
I see what you mean now at the back. Don't see how it's gonna work though as there ain't many threads on that cap to grab if you space it off and it wants spacing 15mm.Not for the front, a small spacer to screw onto the back cap.
Who's talking about stubby, the OP wants to use a full length tungsten with a lens.
