Sounds like an interesting job, its nice to be doing different things like that though.I work for www.cmaxsonar.com as a kind of jack-off-all-master-of-some... I started there 12 years ago as a fitter doing electromechanical assembly and I now do: IT, electromechanical assembly, purchasing, overseas sales (visit trade shows and stick a suit on), overseas installation and training, overseas tech support, embedded software development, mechanical design... and hardly any welding, that's really a side gig. But before that I was at a cnc sheet metal shop doing mostly 1-3mm stainless and aluminium for the clinical industry.
We export 95 percent of our sales, mostly to Russia, China, Singapore and the middle east. Hardly anything to Europe or the US. We have 2 competitors, both north american.
