I wonder if anyone has any recommendations on auto-darkening
welding helmets.
As posted elsewhere I've a mini I want to restore so will probably be doing a
fair bit of pulse welding. I've found that when waiting for the previous
burst to cool down it's hard not to 'lose direction' and start the next pulse
in the wrong position. I reckon an auto-darkening helmet would help
here.
I don't mind spending a bit on decent tools, and it's my b'day soon.
I realise that the sheapest helmets you can get for £60 odd probably aren't
the best, but as a keen amateur I don't want to spend £100s on a helmet.
Does anyone have any recommendations on good helmets that give
good performance, have a god sized aperture and which are likely to
last.
Thanks in advance,
Nial.
