Henry. Nah, that is the original one I had in the shed that needed the whole back end replaced and the fore-aft rail made up. The one from you looks identical now in genuine Red Lead (with real lead in it!). I managed to rebuild just one engine from that pile. Almost all of the other bits were past it with cracks or corrosion but still enough to make it worthwhile. The engine used is the one that was basically intact and just needed a strip, hone and reassemble.
I did make 4 complete gearboxes from the parts bin!
This one will be for sale as a rolling/running chassis once finished in a month or two and the cash will pay for the bodywork on the car I got from you.
As to bodywork, I'm hoping to Wendelise something up. I have a small English Wheel (Justin Lee Baker one) and a shrinker/stretcher plus a wealth of tree stumps to play with so I just need a goodly supply of sheet ali of a suitable grade. Not quite so easy to get hold of round these parts.
Wendel. Just a thought...what are you planning to do with your jig when you've finished???
These chassis (chassises?) are long wheelbase at, IIRC, 6 feet 9 inches.
