Yea those are cheap pressed. That is why I thought it would be better to pay a forum member to cnc cut me some rather than paying well over the odds for some one in China to press a green button on a big machine....
The plates are flat and are just to stop the carpet wearing thin and getting really grimy as you step into the van....
If plasma cut you will need to modify the artwork to stop the 'islands' in the A & R's from falling out. If you CNC mill them as just a recess you are pushed into having slightly thicker plate, and stainless steel sheet is a bit of a b****** to mill anyway.
Why not just DIY a bit of checker plate?
It looks like youve got a thin bit on the edge, so maybe get a bit of thin stainess, and then glue on your checker to the top surface. With a mating surface that large, pretty much any glue would hold it.
Sure, it wont look as flashy, but you can DIY it, and then it wont cost you £50 either.
