iv seen a mig for sale but never heard of them wondered if anyone have my m8 has a erp but his is red and this says erpi and is green any ideas. if so what thay like?
I believe ERP use Telwin innards, I gather they're imported in kit form and assembed in the UK but I can't find a 170A model. Yours might be an older Erfi if it's green. Do you have a link to the ad? If you have a link but don't want to put it on the forum, PM it to me.
My local Farmers DIY Hardware (sell anything) store, sells ERP Migs. £400 for a 210 Amp machine. When I asked about leaflets for them, he handed me a Sealey catalogue, saying that they were just the same. Maybe a cheaper version? Haven't bought one... hoping that someone will come up with more info as the general opinion is that Sealeys are lacking.
I had the foruner to that one, a erfi 700 record they were 160 amp i think, painted green coper wound transformer reliable wuld weld all day. I had it years,. I dont know iof the internals on that one are the same but my old thing was good.
Yes I think they were using Telwin . But.......Telwin are Italian. It looks Chinese but I may be wrong. Of course if it aint anything to do with ERP then who knows. Were ERP not just badgers.......
They are german made by a small family firmn there. components may be italian but i dont think so, i sold mine foe 325. it was over 15 years old. its still working perfectly.
In general Ebay are a joke on s/h welders. I bid on many of them until it got silly. Last one was a ten year old Lorch mig. Buy a new one mate unless you are sure .
Lexi you are right about buying new, it comes with warrenty and service back up, if bought from a dealer, which means if bought from a good dealer there wont be any hassle
