has anybody had the same greif as i have had with the clarke pro 90mig, bought from machine mart (deal) i know thats it's supposed to be a hobby/DIY enthusiast. but it should at least last the year without starting to play up something cronic, from the start just after buying it worked fine did a few bits of practice stuff on some thin stuff and then moved onto some semi thick stuff 3-4mm probably nearing the max for the little welder and then it started playing up smoke started bellowing out the cooling fins on the back but it carried on welding fine, so took it back to mm and they sent it away came back and was told that theres nothing wrong with it??? questionable they said they had done nothing to it but they had actually changed the motor and then PAT tested it. and it's now even worse doesn't smoke but after about 1.5mins just straight welding starts spitting and throwing molten bits of welding wire everywhere and it's looks utter , this is getting stupid so the letter has gone to clarke's but now whats gone is the 1 way valve in the trigger that allows gas to flow when triggers depressed but no it's stuck fully open opening a normal 110g co2 bottle in approx 2mins.
please any ideas this is really giving me the raging hump.
also another note: before sending off for repair smoke bellowing out never actully tripped the thermal overload protection and it's never tripped???
was suggested by a mate to screw it proper buy sticking the earth clamp on the case itself and then arc the gun so it just fries it complete
