It seems The Lord of Pain has finished toying with me and I am able to get back into the swing of things and hang out in the shed.
I bought this some time ago and never really got a chance to look at it.
An obvious problem with the wooden jaws (!) I wasn't expecting much.
Came apart ok tho and looks all original.
Kinda weird that it didn't fit in my standard gastronorm washer.
So I checked the jaw size and I'll be damned, it's a five inch version. Way more valuable...
Degreasing to get as much of the solid lumps of grease off of it and out of the way.
Some considerable time later...
I'll give this a good think, I don't want to ruin the sharpness still present in the castings. Good candidate for electrolysis but I might soak it in paintstripper first.
Interesting older model and I haven't seen one before without the anvil. Needs investigating for age.
