Evening all,
So what little welding and cutting I have so far done with my new O/A kit I have really enjoyed - I just seem to be beset with problems, or questions at the very least.
My new Murex Supacet (purchased for both welding and cutting as advertised) came with a 10 bar regulator for the Oxy with very limited fine adjustment. I didn't understand the point when Murex instruction manual calls for 0.21 bar of Oxy for welding with a number 7 nozzle and it's virtually impossible to set the regulator to that.
So I rang Murex and they said they completely understand but it's European legislation that they have to supply a 10 bar reg with that set.
So I - somewhat annoyed - purchased a Wescol 3.5 bar unit.
Having set this new Wescol reg correctly if I turn off the Oxy off at the shank - if I want to have a break for 5 mins - by the time I get back the regulator pressure has risen to approx 1.8/2 bar. This then returns to the set pressure when I turn the Oxy back on at the shank, but my torch blew out once and I am now thinking it might be that build up of pressure rather than me being ham fisted - or maybe not
Is this normal?
Apologies for the long winded post but I am new to the Oxy game and I want to make sure I get it right.
Thanks
Will
