I want to buy a mig welder, it will be used for car body work repairs, just as a hobby, and will be using it in my garage at home (so from home electric supply).
I was reading that I need to get one that goes down to 30amps ( ive seen 20amp, but not as often).
Is the Sealey Supermig 180 going to be a reasonable machine ? I rashly bought a Sealey no gas 100....which I now know has a low setting of 40 amps, and is likely to just blow holes in body panels!
Just hoping for some advice really, am I now thinking along the right lines? is that about the level machine I need? or is there better machines out there? I think it was about £450.
