Hi Guys,
I'm after a TIG welder, and I'm on a budget of around £500 - to include an autodimming helmet, gloves, and basic consumables. I'm not doing heavy industrial stuff, light DIY fabrication mainly. 160-200A mark should be plenty and single phase.
I'm very tempted by these cheap chinese AC/DC inverter sets. The question really is - are they any good? I've heard stories about them not working out of the box, and some people seem very pleased with them. Does anyone have any experience with them?
A/C would be nice to have, but is not essential. So, otherwise I'm looking at a DC inverter set. R-Tech are a supplier that keep popping up with good reviews. Anyone got one? Any problems?
Thanks in advance.
