Interesting way of going about it.
I find a good way to learn things is that when the observed facts repeatedly contradicts what I was taught, told, or otherwise had handed down to me from on high, then the vast majority of the time, it's what I was taught that's at fault.
It's called "science" apparently.
I've repeatedly said go and do the test welds, chill one, air cool the other, take a file to it etc.
I know what happens if you do that and it's at odds with what you're saying. You on the other hand would only appear to think that you know what happens when you do that.
