I own a decent 90 amp welder made in Denmark. I love to use for sheetmetal repair on car restorations.
My problem is the welder loses 'power' meaning penetration after running for a brief period of time and begins to smoke under the cabinet covering the internals.
I hope someone from the forum can guide me in troubleshooting and fixing this little welder since I have lots of binzel type consumables and this machine is perfect for autobody repairs. I Can not find much useful info and Snap on said they don't have parts for this machine since it was manufactured in the late 1980's or early 1990s.
It is well built and I would love to resurrect it since I do not use it extensively.
Here is a pic of the machine I hope to repair. (borrowed from the net not my welder)
I look forward to your suggestions this site is my best hope for advice on DIY repairs
