Must be a week for itNo he wouldn't! I was just thinking, if you can gas or tig weld, you're moving something in sync with both hands, except with this you don't have to dip or worry about the left hand going outside the shielded zone, you just have to keep it steady. To keep things in perspective though, I've had a few weeks off with flu, then bronchitis, and then a procedure on my back and only started pottering in the workshop this week, doing a job where I want really pretty beads up to three feet long on 5mm open corners, as they will be very much on permanent display. I couldn't run a decent bead with two hands on one torch. What should have looked like a three foot long head of barley looked more like a string badly made value sausages. Things did improve after I pulled the liner, gave it a shake and blew it through with a compressor, that seemed to sort the wire feed but the bit that was me was still determined to add to tesco's value range. What a pile of doodoo. I'm hoping I get my groove back shortly and I'm sure I will, in time to weld the base, which no one will ever see.
