a nice little tank, very neat.
As it looks as if there is just the top mounting strap, if I were you I would weld two small gussets where the strap meets the tank as that is rather a weak point and a possible fracture spot. The other point I would make is to fold as many of the seams as this reduces the amount of welding required, unless of course you did it that way for the welding exercise? :-)

cheers guys ok just trying to keep a steady hand helps , but why is there black bits in some of the welds , dosent leak thow ,,,
you spy correct homemade skimed pistons too 27psi at mo with no problems , helps thow i made it 4wd tooVery nice.
I spy a VR6 turbo if Im not mistaken?
You need a stainless steel wire brush or scotchbrite pad which doesn't get used for anything else then wipe it with acetone or cellulose thinner just before you weld it, it gets contaminated very easily and sometimes the contamination is on the rods so give that a quick rub as well.
