The alloy wheels on my newly acquired work Mercedes are looking a little nasty where at some time, some careful driver has walloped a kerb or two. Water has got between the coating and the alloy with inevitable consequences. If I could afford the down time, I would obviously get the tyres stripped off, cut it all out and re-finish. However. not an option. So. Is there a regular treatment on the market or in my kitchen cupboard that will treat said corrosion sufficient to hand paint the area back in? I don't mean some chemical formula only available to Portuguese registered and qualified marine engineers working on pacific oil rigs.
