Folks
Could the electricians among us give me some guidance, please?
I am setting up a 400V 3P plasma cutter; Powermax 45 XP. Its power lead has three conductors plus an earth. The site at which it'll be used has 3PNE sockets. I gather that only a 5 pin CEE plug will fit such a socket.
Therefore, does the neutral pin in the plug simply remain unwired?
Could you explain this aspect for me, the colour/phase details and anything else that would enlighten me?
Thanks in advance
Michael
