Hi I am planning to fix rust at the joint between the rear inner wheel arches and the floor of my Ford transit mk6. I am planning on cutting out the rust, cleaning up the metal and then inserting new 1 mm zintec metal sheet bent to shape.
The aim is to cut out only the rust metal and keep both arches largely intact, I will be using a gys 162 MIG with flux core wire. Figured I would check to see if any of you had pearls of wisdom or advice on how I could do this correctly before i jumped into it also any info on how to treat the weld after would be usefull currently planning on using a filler, then a epoxy primer, then rustoleum black paint. Thanks very much photos are attached!.
