I'm thinking of upgrading the metering valve on my small Chinese pressurised blast pot. In fairness I haven't had a single blockage for years since switching to ultrafine media, but I still have to continually adjust the ball cock metering valve while blasting. It's a pain.
Has anyone tried using a diaphragm (Saunders) valve? I think that's the kind used on more expensive pots.
The other type I've looked at is the flat top valve that's popular with this forum. I think they're good at avoiding blockages but not sure how good they are at metering?
