For a while I’ve been wanting to make an Indian Chula, it’s made of clay, kept indoors, not very practical for the U.K. climate
Some research took me to this design, made of metal, so perfect to be kept out doors
Then some rummaging around for suitable bits n bobs, a bit of creativity and this is what I have
I got lucky with the top ring, it was the perfect size and had a step around the circumference which allowed it to sit on 8mm bolts cut and spaced to centre the ring perfectly. Couple of coats of VHT paint and it’s done
Base was filled with concrete to give it weight
Im happy with how it’s come out
Will be ready next weekend for the opening ceremony with a brand new hot plate I have
