I have a 185mm blade for metal I bought for my chop saw. It cut OK but being smaller in diameter, meant the workpiece had to be turned round to complete the cut. I gave up and bought an Evo Rage 255mm sliding mitre job which works brilliantly. The 185 is out in the shed somewhere.
Popped into B&Q earlier and they sold a Metal cutting blade to fit said saw. But they wanted £40!! Quick look on ebay netted me the same exact blade for £15 Delivered. That will do me (y)
Well that last long....Cut some 75mm 3mm alloy box fine (apart from rotating, only has a 60mm depth cut), Cut some 3mm Sheet fine. Cutting some 25mm od 3mm tubing and it spat its teeth out! 20 odd of the 48 teeth the blade has....Good as scrap now. Made a right mess of my tube aswel...
Gave a pal a demonstration of my Evo Rage3 255mm sliding mitre job at the weekend, cutting 4mm flat steel bar and he couldn't believe how good a job it made.
