hello, im new here, have been welding for a good few years now, but am taking more of an interest now in trying to perfect the technique and set up of the kit etc.
90% of what i do is car restoration as a hobby with the odd work bench frame etc.
I've got a relatively new 151TE, which seems OK, I've read there are a few things that can be done to improve these machines, something about the earth clamp needing upgrading and the basic gas reg they come with replacing also.
Also i am doing some floor repairs on my car at the moment using 20 gauge steel, what kind of settings do other use when welding in plates, 1 min or max? wire speed?
Like i said, i get the job done, but think theres lots of room for improvement, I find I burn thru quite a bit.
thanks
