Hope this is in the right section, Mods feel free to move if it's not.
For as long as I can remember I've wanted to build a boat, I live nearby a tidal river and am a few minutes from the coast. But it's something I've just never got around to doing. Either events have conspired against me or I haven't had the room but as there is a vacant unit next door to my workshop the opportunity seemed too good to miss. I'd love to make a bigger one but I thought I'd try my hand at something I can hopefully sling together in a week or two of evenings here and there, not something I'll still be trying to complete in two years time...
Anyway, as I'm not a naval architect, and I have no idea how to develop a hull shape that will A fit up and B perform, I paid for the plans from an online designer from Canada.
The plans were sent to Aalco and a few days later a kit of parts arrived.
These are some renderings of the computer modelled hull and sheetmetal kit parts plus a few pics of completed skiffs.
