I have a gas-less SIP 155T. The manual says it should use 0.9 mm flux cored wire. I aim to the use the welder for car paneling and a Land Rover chassis. I am brand spanking new to welding and will practice on scrap metal first. I have read that 0.8 mm flux core is better to use on thinner metals, 2 mm or under. Can I use 0.8 in my welder?
If I use 0.8 mm flux cored wire on metal under 2 mm thick, can I use this welder with a 13 amp plug?
Many thanks
Gordon
