I have just bought an industrial mig wire feed motor off ebay (first pic). I intend to convert the wire feed sytem in my kenda welder. The current wire feed motor is about the size of a casette player motor and is rubish!! (shown in last pic!)
I hope to mount the motor on the top lid of the welder along with the wire spool (shown in CAD diagram). I then hope to hard-wire the motor into the welder (I have check the wires and voltages and this should be fairly simple!!!) Then replace the torch wire liner with a longer one and link it to the motor and the torch.
Has anyone done anything like this before and could offer any advice?
Will keep you updated as I start the conversion.
Thanks
