Thanks for all the replies! Seems to be a split sort of subject.
For the record i have only ever wet sanded primer on previous smaller jobs, but i would ideally like to dry sand my dads t25 van as i could keep it in the garage and halfway clean.
As i have never dry sanded highbuild could...
I have read in various places about dry sanding high build primer instead of the traditional wet flatting.
Does anyone know the pros and cons of both and whats involved with dry sanding?
Had a look about and couldnt find the answer to this.
Is it ok to spray etch primer over areas treated with jenolite? i have a few areas in my van floor that are not bad enough to cut out but cant quite clean out properly so was going to give then a quick coating.

I have a few otherwise flat panels on my van that have a fair few quite shallow but noticeable grinder marks on them. They are in bare metal now, and im wondering how best to fill them. Would i need to give it a skim of filler over, or would the high build fill these in?
oh great just read this and ive been using upol big easy for all my filler work!
Should i give it all a rub back and finish of with a better quality filler?
(sorry to hijack the thread!)
Hi all, another quick question.

Will the etch primer lift the sealer meaning to scrape it out and do it again (not the end of the world just another setback!) or is...
Lovely, U-Pol do a 1k etch primer thanks.
One more question on this, as the etch primer and my U-Pol p88 primer are both grey, is it ok to give it a fine coat of different colour primer in between so i dont accidently rub back to metal when flatting the highbuild?
Are they grey or dark grey?

According to this site grey is ultra fine and dark grey is coarse
Thanks for the replys.
Looks like i had been mis-sold the zinc 182, luckily i found this out before i coated the whole van in it!
I know have to find some etch primer, can anyone suggest a good brand to me? I am using upol high build and cellulose paint, is there any type i have to avoid?
