I've just bought an UMM Transcat.
This is my actual vehicle outside sellers house -
The paint is several layers thick and evidence that some filler has been used. The body is 2mm thick so there are only minor aspects that need repair. I intend paint stripping back to bare metal a bit at a time so a full assessment can be made of each panel.
What I'm after is suggestions of what I can use to protect the bare metal before repairs are made and then top coat (probably rollered Nato green ).
POR 15 is going to be expensive to do the whole vehicle. I suspect red oxide isn't water resistant. Don't want to use an "all in one" paint like Hammerite.
Any ideas what could be suitable ?
Cheers.
BTW I know it's ugly - that is part of the appeal as it's a match with me
