Evening all,
I'm getting my knickers in a twist again... I have recently bought a Colchester Student, a MK, from 1964.
The plate on the motor is attached at the bottom of the thread.
So, my thinking is that its a 2.2kw dual voltage motor, easy, I can run it off a VFD.
I was going to chance one of the Chinese HuanYang ones, but I'm struggling to find somewhere to get one that I know is genuine. So I'm looking at other options. Drives direct do a Teco one at not too bad a price, but looking on eBay I have found these Teco drives
http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/281259002810
So to me, this looks ok... Teco is a recognised brand, it is the right size for my motor and most people reckon you can run a 2.2kw VFD from a 13A socket no problem.
So, am I on the right track?!
Cheers
Andrew
