I live in a house in a rural area with two fairly large garage and workshop outbuildings behind the house. I've done about everything I can in the way of physical security, but now I'd like to install CCTV here. The DVR would be in the house, so installing cameras round the house ought to be fairly straightforward, the house sits more or less in the centre of the plot and has a semi circular "in and out" driveway to the road, with another driveway down one side of the plot to the workshop and a driveway on the other side to the garage which sits in the opposite corner.
I really want to fit cameras to the outsides of these two buildings as well as the house, and would really like to install cameras inside both buildings too.
The problem is the wiring; there is some underground telephone cabling from the house going to both buildings, but I'm not confident that it would support the camera signal(s). I have heard of wireless adapters for CCTV cameras but know nothing about them. Do any of you chaps have any experience with these and how well (or not) they work?
Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for any input.
