Cheers Giz. There is no reason you can't mate. You have certainly got the talent, you have got a very capable unit and you've got the ambitions. Concentrate on replicating the good results and be sure to chuck away that mask. Your always welcome back any time.visited Richard saturday just gone. Fantastic tutor! just hope i can replicate those results at home
Id like to think a little bit of both. Welder training is something I've had a bit of experience with but for fellow forum members I offer a few hours of my time for a small fee to cover my gas, metal, consumables and a couple of pints. It's only something I offer to members that contact me through the forum. I'm not interested in advertising tutoring as I have a good full time job that keeps me out of trouble. I'm not a college course or a means to passing your next code. All I do is help perfect technique with what ever it is your struggling. Giz had trouble joining Alu lap and outside corners. A couple of tweaks from observing over his shoulder soon saw to some lovely runs been put Down. I would say I did about 5 mins welding tops. He had the tools all along he just needed showing what youtube doesn't help with.

The White (zirconiated) are a little softer than the lanth but you should get them to stabilise with balance. Failing that you maybe have a nasty batch? Whites are used heavily in industry so they do work!!Although....
I Keep melting WHITE tungstens, and BLUE's dont seem to ball up...
