Still toying with the idea of using 2K aerosol. Another few questions for this subject will help I think.
Using 1K acrylic aerosol the final finish suffered marring and swirls due to the paint being too soft. Obviously this won't be a problem with 2K, but do I still use the same wet sanding procedure to flatten the surface (orange peel/impefection removal) ? Also, once I've finished wet sanding with 2500-3000 grit can the surface be hand compounded and then polished?
Do I have to use a clear coat over the base? The current paint on the car doesn't and may well be cellulose. I'd prefer to have the same finish and applying a clear coat may make the painted paints appear different.
Lastly, since I don't have a heater or halogen lamp can I safely leave 2K painted parts indoors at room temperatures to cure/harden? Also, WILL they properly cure/harden without the usage of a heater?
