no waste if u narrow the fan on a decent gun. faster as wellQuickest way is a small roller, hardest and messiest is a compressor and gun,not to mention the waste.
In which reality is that then? for it's not the one I live in.Quickest way is a small roller, hardest and messiest is a compressor and gun,not to mention the waste.
your avin a larf it takes ages with a brush and a roller painting all 4 sides of each upright and i dont suppose youve read the thread properly (get on the naughty step) he states he's doing loads of them at the minute, he's making them for cutomersForgot to say......
We get a lot of windy days in the uk.....thats a bu**er trying to get the spray paint where ya want it to go.
Are you just doing one or two sets in your own garden or is your job painting other folks gates? If you are doing your own I can recommend just buying a few aerosol cans. I started off painting our steel drive gates with Aldi metal paint from a can - did one gate and it took ages. Then I decided to try the same Aldi paint but in aerosols - went on really well and took a lot less time. It's about £3 a can. Not much overspray if you are careful and no setting up of gear, just a cheap plastic tarpaulin on the ground and round the fence bits.
If you want to buy a compressor just for gates I would think the 50 litre Aldi ones might be up to the job, plus a £15 smart repair spray gun from eBay.
...Im going to buy a compressor just need to find the right one.
I will have a look in aldi tonight...
