Hi Chaps, new to the forum though I have been amateur welding for 30 years.
My old Sip topweld 180, which I believe is AC air cooled type has just about had it.
It welds sufficiently well for me but the duty cycle is becoming increasingly short and as I usually have it wound up to the max I only get about 10 secs welding before it cuts out now.
So I bought an old Triangle minx, 150 amp, in excellent condition, I believe this is the same type of welder as the Sip, just much better quality. It welds beautifully and even at full power, has not yet overheated.
Question is I was looking at getting a 180 amp Oxford, but will it be any improvement over the Triangle, or will it just have a longer duty cycle?
Thanks in advance
